Osprey and Voyagers Complete First Half Series Sunday

MISSOULA, MONT - For the tenth and final time of the first half, the Missoula Osprey (12-11) and Great Falls Voyagers (13-10) match-up to complete the series at Ogren Park Allegiance Field Sunday. With a win, the Osprey move into a first place tie with the Voyagers.

Great Falls squeaked by Missoula Saturday with a 6-5 win. The Voyagers struck first with two runs in the top of the third when Lenyn Sosa notched an RBI triple and Logan Sowers drove in a run with a single.

Missoula took its first lead of the game with four runs in the fourth inning on a season-high six hits. Cesar Garcia started the inning with a triple while Alex King, Jesus Munoz, David Sanchez, Jesus Marriaga, and Eddie Hernandez each singled to post a 4-2 lead against the Voyagers.

Facing a two-run deficit, the Voyagers offense scored two runs in the fifth to tie the game. Great Falls notched five hits in the inning, led by Lenyn Sosa and Logan Sowers who drove in the two runs to even the game at four.

In the sixth, Great Falls regained the lead when Ramon Beltre grounded into a double play with a man on third to push the Voyagers in the lead 5-4. However, the lead lasted until the bottom of the seventh when Cesar Garcia roped a RBI double for the Osprey to tie the game 5-5.

The Voyagers scored two runs in the final two innings, highlighted by a Logan Sowers solo home run in the top of the ninth to give them a 7-5 lead.

Set to take the mound Sunday for the Osprey is right-hander Marcos Tineo. The 21-year-old is 0-1 with a 2.40 ERA in three starts. Tineo has logged 15 innings while striking out 10 batters. The second year pro tossed five innings of two-run baseball, both unearned.

Jason Bilous takes the hill for Great Falls as the right-hander owns an 0-1 record with a 3.48 ERA. In 10.1 innings, Bilous has seven strikeouts and three walks. In his last start in Helena, the 20-year-old tossed three innings of scoreless baseball. He has two appearances against Missoula this year, compiling five innings and three earned runs allowed.

The Selway Armory Pregame Show begins at 4:45 p.m. on 102.9 ESPN Missoula and the MiLB First Pitch App. First pitch is slated for 5:05 pm at Ogren park Allegiance Field with the gates opening at 4:30 pm.
