Osceola Magic News Release

The Osceola Magic fell to the Grand Rapids Gold at the Van Andel Arena 129-118 Friday night.

Mac McClung scored a team-high 20 points and added eight assists for Osceola, while D.J. Wilson collected a double-double, netting 21 points and 10 rebounds. Grand Rapids' Jalen Pickett secured a double-double with a game-high 30 points and 14 assists.

"When games are tight, made shots, missed shots and turnovers make all the difference," Magic Head Coach Dylan Murphy said. "We were down most of the game, but we fought and got back up with just under four minutes to go. I'm still giving credit to our guys for fighting."

"We're not taking anything good from this game," McClung stated after the game. "We have to get back in the gym tomorrow and fix everything that went wrong. We're a better team than this, and we know that."

The Magic trailed throughout the game but rallied back in the fourth quarter. Despite shooting 45.7 percent from three-point range and narrowing a 14-point deficit to 111-110 the Magic fell short of securing a victory.

The Osceola Magic (1-0), NBA G League Affiliate of the Orlando Magic, will face the Grand Rapids Gold, on Sunday, January 7 at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids at 3:00 PM. The game will stream on NBAGLeague.com.
