WILMINGTON - The Delaware Blue Coats (3-1) secured a 128-121 win over the Westchester Knicks (0-5) on Friday night at Chase Fieldhouse. The Coats got a balanced scoring effort from Kenneth Lofton Jr. (26), Darius Bazley (21), Ricky Council IV (20), Javonte Smart (19) and Terquavion Smith (18).
After a Westchester run to tighten the game with under two minutes to play, Lofton Jr. scored a defining bucket in the paint with 1:21 to play to help seal the deal.

"These games are tough," head coach Mike Longabardi said. "That team is scrappy. [Lofton Jr.] got us a basket when we needed it. He wanted the ball so we just gave it right to him."
Lofton Jr. had 11 rebounds, five assists and three blocks for a double-double in the winning effort for the Blue Coats. Smart and Bazley both had a double-double as well.
The Knicks' Dylan Windler lead the way with 23 points. Windler's 33 rebounds is a new single game G League record. DaQuan Jeffries (22), Dmytro Skapintsev (20), Jacob Toppin (20) and Brandon Goodwin (13) all joined Windler in double figures in the loss.
Delaware and Westchester face off again Saturday night at Chase Fieldhouse. Tip off is at 6:00 p.m.
