
Orlando City Loses Season Finale at New York Red Bulls

HARRISON, N.J. - In its 2018 season finale, Orlando City SC (8-22-4, 28 points) lost 1-0 to the New York Red Bulls (22-7-5, 71 points) on Sunday at Red Bull Arena.
"Credit to Red Bulls, I want to congratulate them [on winning the Supporters' Shield]," Lions head coach James O'Connor said. "There will be some reflection from the coaching staff, ourselves, we'll sit with the players and go through it. We've got a clear plan of what needs to happen. We'll start this week and go from there."
Adam Grinwis made his fifth start of the season in goal. The Ada, Mich., native stopped his first career MLS penalty kick in the 15th minute when he dove to his right to stop Derrick Etienne's spot attempt .
Etienne scored the game's only goal in the 53rd minute.
The Red Bulls clinched the Supporters' Shield with Sunday's win, coupled with Atlanta's loss to Toronto.
