
Orlando City Foundation Hires Kaia W. Forgét as Director of Development

ORLANDO - May 18, 2015 - The Orlando City Foundation has strengthened its community relations footprint with the addition of Kaia W. Forgét as new director of development. In her new role, Forgét will lead the strategic development and planning of the Foundation's programs that support children's initiatives and enhance youth soccer camps.
"We are thrilled to continue expanding our efforts in the community and reaching as many children as we can," said Orlando City Foundation President and Director of Community Relations, Kay Rawlins. "Kaia will be a great asset to our team and overall organization and we look forward to her many contributions."
Forgét, a former program manager at Rollins College Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership, was responsible for programming and support advocacy, marketing, research, social media, and volunteer management projects for the organization.
Her past experience includes work with AmeriCorps programs, public school education and community issues across the public, private and nonprofit sectors. She currently serves on the UCF College of Public Administration Nonprofit Advisory Board, and is the Immediate Past Chair of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School Board, past chair of several committees for the League of Women Voters of Orange County as well as grant reviewer for United Arts of Central Florida and the Central Florida Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.
She is a 2009 Orlando Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree and a graduate of Leadership Orlando Class 66. She earned the Rollins College Certificate in Nonprofit Management. Forgét received a B.A. from Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y., and an M.A. from the University of Central Florida. Orlando City Foundation also welcomes Kathryn Orvosh as an events coordinator. Orvosh was previously an intern for the team, and recently graduated from the University of Central Florida.
