The Orioles today announced that they have traded minor league OF JOEY GATHRIGHT from Triple-A Norfolk to Triple-A Pawtucket (Boston Red Sox) in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
Gathright, 28, batted .329 (106-322) with 20 RBI and 24 stolen bases in 80 games for the Tides after being acquired by the Orioles on May 8 from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for OF RYAN FREEL.
