Orioles recall Abreu to Baltimore

Ottawa - The Orioles purchased the contract of RHP Winston Abreu. Coming back to Ottawa are RHP Cory Morris, who was transferred from Double-A Bowie, and RHP Eddy Rodriguez, who was optioned to the Lynx from Baltimore.

Abreu was 8-4 with a 2.98 ERA with the Lynx. Those eight wins are good for a tie for 10th in the International League. This will be his Major League debut.

Cory Morris was 1-6 with a 4.10 ERA in 10 starts with the Lynx this season. He had a brief stint with the Orioles April 9-12 and has also spent some time this season with the Double-A Bowie Baysox and the Single-A Aberdeen IronBirds.

With the Lynx, Rodriguez is 2-0 with a 1.49 ERA and 9 saves. This will be the 3rd time Rodriguez has been recalled. He was last called up to the parent Orioles July 14. With the Orioles this season, Rodriguez is 1-1 with a 7.20 ERA in 9 games.
