Ontario Hands Stockton 2-1 OT Loss

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL ‚¬â„¢s Los Angeles Kings, defeated the Stockton Thunder 2-1 in overtime before 5,892 fans at Citizens Business Bank Arena Wednesday night.

Shawn Collymore scored the first Reign goal at 7:43 of the second period. Collymore took a feed at the bottom of the left circle from James McEwan, cycled to the top of the circle and scored his 16th goal of the season with a solid wrist shot.

Fraser Clair tied the game at one with an unassisted goal at 12:22 of the third period, sending the game into overtime.

Stockton took two consecutive penalties to start overtime, and Ontario capitalized. Jordan Morrison made a cross-ice path to Walker who one-timed it past Zane Kalemba to give the Reign its third overtime win in the last four games. Beau Erickson earned the win with 29 saves and Zane Kalemba, who took over in goal for Bryan Pitton after he made 21 saves, took the loss with 5 saves.

The Reign head to Central California for a three-game series against the Condors in Bakersfield then return to Ontairo Wednesday the 23rd for a four-game homestand.
