ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Clippers (8-3) defeated the Santa Cruz Warriors (6-3), 119-109, on Tuesday night in Ontario.

The Clippers were paced by Xavier Moon, who recorded 34 points, on 12-of-20 shooting from the field, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds on the night. Brodric Thomas led all reserves with 25 points, on 10-of-17 shooting from the field, to go along with 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. Jordan Miller added 20 points and Moussa Diabate contributed with a 12-point, 14-rebound double double.

Lester Quinones led all scorers with 35 points, shooting 13-for-28 from the field and added 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the Warriors' loss. Former Clipper Jerome Robinson contributed with an all-around game of 22 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds. Trayce Jackson-Davis added 13 points while Gui Santos pulled down 11 boards on the night.

Santa Cruz came out of the gates hot, taking an early 10-point lead. The Clippers closed the gap to end the first quarter down four. They carried their momentum into the second quarter, outscoring the Warriors 37-23 while shooting 59.1 percent (13-for-22) from the field and 5-of-7 from distance to take a 10-point lead into the break. Ontario would extend their advantage to as much as 18 in the third and held off Santa Cruz the rest of the way for the victory.
