O'Neill Continues to Produce as Penguins Add to Point Total

Weekly Rewind

Friday, Feb. 12 - PENGUINS 3 at Hartford 1

The Penguins balanced their scoring with one goal in each period. Anton Zlobin scored the game-winner with an assist from Will O'Neill, and Matt Murray made 26 saves in the win.

Saturday, Feb. 13 - PENGUINS 1 vs. Portland 2 OT

Fans attending Military Appreciation Night saw two fights before the game's first goal. However, the wait was well worth it as Dominik Simon sent the contest to overtime with a goal in his return to the Penguins after a six-game absence.

Sunday, Feb. 14 - PENGUINS 2 vs. Portland 3 OT

In the final game of the back-to-back series with Portland and a three-in-three weekend, the Penguins stormed the Pirates in the third period, but were stunned for an OT loss once again. O'Neill had assists on both of the Penguins' goals.

The Week Ahead

Friday, Feb. 19 - PENGUINS at Toronto

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton heads to Ricoh Coliseum to take on the Toronto Marlies in its lone trip to Ontario in 2015-16. The Marlies beat the Penguins in a shootout back on Dec. 18 in their only meeting so far this season.

Sunday, Feb. 21 - PENGUINS at Rochester

Blue Cross Arena hosts the Americans' and Penguins' second and final match-up. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton beat Rochester, 3-1, the last time they met and outshot the Amerks, 41-16.

Tuesday, Feb. 23 - PENGUINS vs. Hershey

The rival Hershey Bears come to Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza to play the Penguins for fifth time in a 12-game season set. The Pens and Bears are the top two teams in the Atlantic, with Hershey trailing Wilkes-Barre/Scranton by just two points. The season series is even at two wins each.

- Penguins defenseman Will O'Neill has seven points in six games in February and 18 points (2G-16A) in his last 17 games.

- O'Neill has either a goal or an assist on 45.8% of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's total goals over its last eight games.

- O'Neill's recent run has him leading all active Penguins players in points with 33.

- The Penguins have earned at least one point in five of their six games since the All-Star break.
