January 9, 2014 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release
DUBUQUE, IA- The Mystique Community Ice Center will be a one-stop shop for entertainment during Saturday night's Dubuque Fighting Saints game. It's "A Night of One-Stoppable Fun," presented by One Stop Tax and Account Service, and the night will provide exciting action both on and off the ice, a giveaway to the first 1,000 fans, as well as a chance to raise funds for the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. Puck drop is slated for 7:05 p.m. versus the Green Bay Gamblers.
The Fighting Saints will be wearing special warm-up jerseys on Saturday that will be auctioned off with proceeds to benefit the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. The design from the jerseys came from a Design-A-Jersey contest for children, presented by One Stop Tax and Accounting Service. Hunter Roraff, age 11, submitted the winning design. The jerseys are silver in color with the Fighting Saints crest, University of Iowa Children's Hospital logo, and One Stop Tax and Accounting Service logo on the front, with the arms and shoulders of the jerseys accented in white and red, adorned by swords down the sleeves. All of the player jerseys will be auctioned off in a silent auction during Saturday's game with all proceeds benefiting the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. Fans who purchase jerseys will get to take a photo with their corresponding player following the game.
Hunter will be honored on the ice during the first intermission and will receive a jersey featuring his winning design.
The Fighting Saints and One Stop Tax and Accounting Service are encouraging fans to bring items to Saturday night's game to help bring cheer to patients at the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. Items such as toys, games, puzzles, books, and movies, as well as personal hygiene supplies, will be collected to help children in need of these items. A complete list of suggested items is available at DubuqueFightingSaints.com. The first 100 fans that bring an item off the list to Saturday's game will receive a special Fighting Saints stress puck autographed by a player.
Additionally, the first 1,000 fans at Saturday's game will receive a Fighting Saints wristband courtesy of One Stop Tax and Accounting Service.
