OMAHA, NE: The Omaha Beef have signed an exceptional wide receiver for the 2012 season. Will Franklin is a 6'1" 215 pound wide receiver out of the University of Missouri. s a Tiger, Franklin was named to the 2006 and 2007 All-Big 12 Honorable Mention, 2006 Team Receiver of the Year and the 2006 Team Metro St. Louis Player of the Year. As a senior, he started 14 games and had 49 passes for 709 yards and 4 touchdowns. In 2008, he was the 105th pick (4th round) of the NFL Draft, and signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. Franklin played 13 games with the Chiefs, had 7 catches for 83 receiving yards.

Franklin is currently residing in Missouri and training out of HammerBodies Custom Fitness. Franklin has been preparing for the 2012 season, excited to come to Omaha and play for the Omaha Beef. "I can't wait to play for Omaha for the 2012 season," Franklin stated. Walter Wilson, Franklin's agent, states "Franklin is a focused and dedicated player, he's very coachable." Will and his agent have high hopes that he will end up back in the NFL, or get a chance in the UFL, CFL, or AFL. "He's a very talented receiver with a positive attitude. Everything he is applying now will transcend into the 2012 season with Omaha and hopefully will further him in his football career," said Wilson.

The BEEF are celebrating their 13th year of Professional Indoor Football in Omaha, Nebraska. Home games are played February through June. All home games start at 7:05 p.m. and are held at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. The Beef are a member of the Indoor Football League, the premier indoor football league in America.
