Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice Open Tryout for the 2012 Season is quickly approaching and preregistration ends on October 19th. Those interested in trying out can register by going to www.thecoloradoice.com, by calling 970-472-0128 or stopping into the office at 4812 S. College Ave., Fort Collins, CO.
The tryout will take place at Arena Sports in Windsor, CO on Saturday, October 22nd. Registration and warm-ups will begin at 9:00am, with the tryout running from 10:00am-1:00pm.
Head Coach Heron O'Neal, along with the Ice coaching staff, will be evaluating players in a pro combine-style tryout. Some areas being tested are the 40 yard dash, 225 bench press, vertical jump, L-drill, and W-drill.
Participants must be 21 years of age by the tryout date. Registration fees are $50 for pre-registered participants and $60 the day of the tryout. Pre-registered participants may pay with check or credit card, same day walk-up registration is cash only. Pre-registration will end on Wednesday, October 19th, 2011 and is strongly encouraged as space is limited.
For those flying, Denver International Airport is the best option. Any travel to and from the airport or overnight accommodations are the responsibility of the individual.
The Colorado Ice are proud members of the Indoor Football League (IFL). All home games are played on Majestic Field at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado.
