
Ole Miss National Championship Trophy Makes Stop at MGM Park

BILOXI, MS - The 2022 NCAA Division One National Championship trophy will make a stop at MGM Park on Friday, July 29 when the Biloxi Shuckers take on the Montgomery Biscuits as part of the 'Tour of Champions' announced by Ole Miss baseball on Friday.
The trophy will be at MGM Park when gates open at 5:30 pm on July 29 until 8 pm. Fans will be able to take photos with the trophy and are encouraged to post their photos on social media with the hashtag '#PartyWithTheShip.' The stop at MGM Park is part of the 13 stop 'Tour of Champions' presented by Mid-South Ford Dealers, Visit Oxford and Farm Bureau Insurance which gives fans the chance to see the trophy the Ole Miss Rebels baseball team captured last month at the College World Series.
"We know how important college baseball is in the state of Mississippi, and we're excited to have the National Champions coming to our ballpark," said Biloxi Shuckers' General Manager Hunter Reed. "It's pretty special to have both the Division One and Division Two National Championship trophies come through our ballpark in less than a month, and it's such a testament to the quality of baseball in our state right now."
The Biloxi Shuckers continue their six-game series against the Tennessee Smokies on Friday night in Kodak. RHP Noah Zavolas (2-2, 8.18) takes the mound for Biloxi against Smokies' RHP Walker Powell (0-2, 3.38) for a 6:15 pm CT first pitch.
