
Malloy Blasts Three-Run Home Run to Walk off Trash Pandas 6-3

PEARL, MS - Justyn-Henry Malloy blasted a three-run walk-off home run to lift the Mississippi Braves (41-44, 12-4) 6-3 over the Rocket City Trash Pandas (50-35, 9-7) on Friday night at Trustmark Park.
The M-Braves won their fourth in a row, 12 of the last 14, and came back in the final inning for the sixth time this season.
Malloy walked off in his fourth game in Double-A. Malloy is batting .250 with a home run and five RBI in four games for the M-Braves.
Vaughn Grissom went 3-for-4 in his third three-hit game since being promoted from High-A Rome on Tuesday. Atlanta's No. 4 prospect is batting .556 with a homer and three RBI in four games for the M-Braves.
Rocket City scored the first three runs of the game, two in the first and another in the second.
RHP Tanner Gordon pitched four innings, allowing three runs off five hits and a walk with five strikeouts.
In the bottom of the second, Trey Harris hooked a line drive into left field to score Jalen Miller and make it 3-1. Miller led off the frame with a double to deep right field.
Harris went 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. On the series, Harris 6-for-10 with a triple, a double and two RBI.
In the fourth, Yariel Gonzalez and Andrew Moritz each singled and advanced into scoring position after a wild pitch. Hendrik Clementina crushed a ball to deep left center, pushing Torii Hunter Jr. to the wall where he made the catch, but Gonzalez scored on a sacrifice fly to cut the lead to 3-2.
RHP Coleman Huntley III provided two shutout innings of relief. After walking back-to-back batters to start the fifth, the right-hander retired six in a row.
LHP Lisandro Santos added another two scoreless innings. He struck out the side in the eighth to keep it at 3-2.
The M-Braves put the leadoff batter on in seven innings, leaving eight runners on base. The M-Braves went 2-for-13 with runners in scoring position, but the bullpen kept the game close.
RHP Odalvi Javier tossed a scoreless ninth to keep it at a one-run deficit heading into the final frame. Javier would earn the win, his second of the season.
Javier has gone 18 1/3 innings without giving up an earned run over 15 relief appearances.
Clementina led off with a base hit, and Justin Dean came in to pinch run. Harris then lined a single to right field to put runners on the corners. Milligan smoked a sacrifice fly to center to score Dean and tie the game 3-3. After Grissom was hit by a pitch, Malloy smashed the walk-off home run to win 6-3.
The fifth game of the series is on Friday at Trustmark Park. RHP Alan Rangel (3-3, 5.37) makes the start for Mississippi against RHP Brett Kerry (2-4, 4.26) Rocket City. The first pitch is at 6:05 pm CT, with coverage starting at 5:50 pm CT on 103.9 WYAB, TuneIn Radio, First Pitch App, and MiLB.tv.
