
OL Reign Announces 28-Player Roster Prior to Challenge Cup

TACOMA, Wash. - OL Reign today announced its 28-player roster ahead of the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup presented by Secret Deodorant. The club's first match of the Challenge Cup is slated for Friday, April 16 at 7:00 p.m. PT at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Wash., against the Houston Dash, the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup champions.
OL Reign currently has 29 players under contract for the 2021 season, including 25 on the Senior Roster and four on the Supplemental Roster. Of the 25 players on the senior roster, two players do not count against NWSL roster limits: forward Miranda Nild is on loan with Kristianstads DFF of the Swedish Damallsvenskan through the end of 2021, while forward Ally Watt remains on the Season Ending Injury List.
The club is utilizing one international slot- for Costa Rican midfielder Shirley Cruz- leaving four that can be utilized by the club during the 2021 season.
Welsh international midfielder Jess Fishlock has ended her loan to Reading as of today's date and will return to OL Reign immediately following the conclusion of the April international window on April 14.
Midfielder Kelcie Hedge has been removed from the Season Ending Injury List and is expected to be available for selection in all Challenge Cup matches.
The club also added midfielder Jenna Holtz as a National Team Replacement Player. Holtz is a native of Tacoma and graduated from Santa Clara in 2017.
