LAST GAME:
The RedHawks Bullpen surrendered seven runs combined over the sixth and seventh innings, falling 8-6 to the Zephyrs in New Orleans. Matt Harrison made his first Triple-A start, allowing four runs on eight hits over five and a third. John Mayberry hit his fifth home run of the season and Joaquin Arias hit his first. Chris Aguila knocked his 16th home run of the season to help jump start the New Orleans offense in the sixth. The Zephyrs would tag the RedHawks bullpen for four runs in the seventh to take the lead for good.
HOMER HAPPY:
Oklahoma hit its ninth and tenth home runs this month during last night's game. Joaquin Arias joined the parade with his first home run since August 17, 2006 at Memphis. The RedHawks infielder missed all but five games last season due to multiple injuries and shoulder surgery. Oklahoma hit 29 home runs during the month of April and 24 home runs over the month of May.
DAY-TO-DAY:
German Duran sat out last night's game with a slight hamstring strain. The RedHawks infielder left Thursday's game prior to the bottom of the ninth inning, replaced by Ryan Roberts defensively.
FIGUEROA REDUX:
Nelson Figueroa faced the RedHawks in a relief appearance on May 22 at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. Figueroa came on in relief of Adam Bostick after the Zephyrs starter allowed six runs on six hits over an inning and a third. Figueroa pitched four and two-thirds scoreless innings on the series finale and entered the Zephyrs rotation for his next appearance, winning each start since, pitching eight innings in each start.
NEW ORLEANS AT A GLANCE:
Argenis Reyes had three hits last night to extend his hitting streak to nine games. Reyes had a bunt single in the first inning to advance the streak... New Orleans has scored the fewest runs in the PCL this season (250). They also have league lows in hits (488), doubles (91), triples (8), runs batted in (236), and total bases (932). The Zephyrs have the Pacific Coast League's lowest batting average (.245) entering play this evening... Jesus Feliciano has accounted for 13 percent of the Zephyrs hits this season.
AROUND THE ORGANIZATION:
Texas lost 12-4 to Tampa Bay... Frisco fell 2-0 at San Antonio... Bakersfield slipped 13-7 at San Jose... Clinton capped a winless day with a 10-5 loss at Peoria.
DOT-DOT-DOT:
Former RedHawk Sidney Ponson was designated for assignment by the Rangers yesterday. Ponson signed a free agent deal before the season and began the year with Oklahoma in the starting rotation. The Aruban went 1-2 with an ERA of 3.47 with Oklahoma prior to having his contract purchased by Texas on April 26. Ponson was 4-1 with an ERA of 3.88 prior to his designation... Drew Meyer's home run Monday was his first since June 29, 2007 off Iowa's Bret Prinz, spanning 338 days, 126 of which have been game days. Meyer played in 65 games between his home runs and went 217 at bats between blasts...
TIME CHANGE:
The RedHawks have announced a time change that differs from what is listed on pocket schedules and previously printed tickets. Oklahoma's game with Round Rock on Monday, June 23 at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark is now a 7:05 pm first pitch.

Every game this season can be heard on the RedHawks Radio Network, led by broadcaster Jim Byers for the ninth season, and joined by Adam Marco during each homestand. Fox Sports Radio AM 1340 in Oklahoma City will serve as the flagship station in 2008. The network affiliates this season are KSIW 1450 AM in Woodward, KXCA 1380 AM in Lawton, KPNS 1350 AM in Duncan, KTJS 1420 AM in Hobart, KGFF 1450 AM in Shawnee, and KWSH 1260 AM in Wewoka.
