Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release

Matt Holliday and Chris Frey combined for half of Colorado Springs' hits Saturday night and the Sky Sox doubled up Salt Lake to take game three of their four-game series, 8-4 in front of 6,376 fans at Security Service Field.

Playing the second game of his three-game rehab stint, Holliday went 4-for-4. He legged out an infield single in the first, scored from first on a double in the third and hit a two-run double in the fourth.

"I got every test I could get in one day," Holliday said. "I feel great. I'll be here tomorrow, and I'll be ready to go (for the Rockies) Tuesday."

Usually stellar at home, Franklin Morales labored through four innings, allowing four runs on seven hits. He threw 89 pitches, just 46 for strikes, while walking four batters.

Cedrick Bowers (3-1) relieved Morales and pitched three scoreless innings to notch his third victory of the season.

Nick Adenhart (5-4) had a shaky start to the evening, allowing four consecutive hits in the opening frame, including Jayson Nix's leadoff home run. The Sky Sox rattled off four runs in the first inning and finally chased the Salt Lake starter with two outs in the fifth after knocking him around for eight runs (seven earned) on 12 hits.

Colorado Springs and Salt Lake conclude their series Sunday with a 1:05 PM start time. Mark Redman (2-1, 5.73) will toe the rubber for the Sky Sox while Dustin Moseley (1-2, 6.45) gets the call for Salt Lake.
