Oklahoma beat Memphis in ten innings 4-3 after John Mayberry drove in Jason Botts for the eventual winning run. The RedHawks received an impressive start from Robinson Tejeda, who held the Redbirds at bay over seven solid innings, striking out season-high 11 batters along the way. Oklahoma never trailed, but Memphis rallied twice, and nearly won the game after loading the bases with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. Mayberry finished with four hits, while he and Travis Metcalf drove in two runs apiece.

SIT 'EM DOWN:

Oklahoma pitchers combined to strikeout 14 Memphis batters in last night's win, a new season-high for RedHawk pitchers. Robinson Tejeda retired 11 alone via the K, besting two eight-strikeout performances by Eric Hurley (4/24 vs. ALB & 5/09 vs. SAC) for a new single-game high, while the 14 strikeouts topped what Oklahoma did to Round Rock on April 15 when they sat down 13 on strikes.

WHITE WAS CLUTCH:

Bill White came on with the bases loaded in the ninth inning with the score tied at three, and proceeded to strikeout the next three batters to send the game into extra innings. The left-hander earned the win, and has not been scored on over his last three outings, spanning four inning with five strikeouts.

TEAGARDEN"S TEAR:

Taylor Teagarden extended his hitting streak to ten games with a ninth inning single. It is the second longest streak by any RedHawk this season behind Jason Ellison's 12-game streak in April, and ranks as the fourth longest current run in the PCL. Teagarden is hitting .355 with 11 hits in 31 at bats. Ellison hit .377 with 20 hits in 53 at bats during his streak from April 5 through 21.

MEMPHIS AT A GLANCE:

Josh Phelps had a ten-game hitting streak snapped in last night's loss... The Redbirds brief winning streak was stopped at three games, matching their season-high. Memphis also won three straight from May 2 through May 4... Joe Mather tied John Lindsey of Las Vegas with a league-high four home runs over the last week (May 11-17)... Today's starter Mitchell Boggs did not face Oklahoma during the team's first series of the year, instead facing New Orleans in the fifth game of the season.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION:

Texas beat Houston 6-2... Frisco slipped by San Antonio 6-5... Bakersfield hung on to beat Lancaster 11-10... Clinton capped a perfect day, beating Cedar Rapids 10-5.

DOT-DOT-DOT:

Steve Rowe is making his third spot start of this season today... Oklahoma has scored first in 11 straight road games, dating back to April 28, the first day of their eight-game trek to Portland and Tacoma. Steve Rowe was the starter that day as well... The RedHawks are hitting .297 over their last five games, with three players batting above .300 during that span... Oklahoma pitchers have walked the second fewest number of batters so far this season (124), just five more than Round Rock (119). Las Vegas has walked a league-high 179 batters. The 51s have also struck out a league-high 331 hitters, with the RedHawks just seven strikeouts back in second place.

TIME CHANGE:

The RedHawks have announced one time change that differs from the pocket schedules. Oklahoma's game on June 1 with Omaha is now slated for a 2:05 pm first pitch.
