
Sidewinders Win Series In Tacoma

Tacoma, WA - The Sidewinders scored four early runs against R.A. Dickey and held on for a 4-2 win over the Tacoma Rainiers on Sunday afternoon. Tucson won three of four in the series for their second series victory of the season.
Doug Davis made his second rehab start and lasted five innings. He allowed two runs on four hits with two walks and three strikeouts. Davis threw 92 pitches and is expected to start for the Diamondbacks on May 23rd.
Emilio Bonifacio, Alex Romero, Josh Whitesell and Tim Raines, Jr. all had RBI for the Sidewinders who improved to 15-29 on the season. Tucson's only other series win came May 2nd through the 5th when they won three of four in Albuquerque.
Leo Rosales pitched a perfect ninth for his fifth save in as many chances.
The Sidewinders travel to Portland to open a four game series with the Portland Beavers on Monday night at PGE Park. Left-hander Evan MacLane (1-3, 7.32) starts for Tucson against right-hander Josh Banks (1-1, 8.35) for Portland. First pitch is at 7:05. The game will air live on COOL 1450 beginning at 6:55.
