
D'Antona, Petit headline Sidewinders's win

Tacoma, WA - Jamie D'Antona went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBI and Yusmeiro Petit struck out 10 over six innings as the Sidewinders beat the Tacoma Rainiers 9-3 on Saturday night.
D'Antona clubbed a two run homer to left in the first inning and later added a pair of singles to raise his PCL leading average to .435. He has hit in eight straight games and 14 of his last 15. He has at least two hits in each of his last six contests and now has 48 hits in his last 24 games.
Petit allowed three runs in the first two innings but finished with a flurry. After allowing a leadoff double to Jeremy Reed in the third, Petit retired the next 12 hitters he faced, seven on strikeouts.
The Sidewinders and Rainiers wrap up their four game series on Sunday afternoon at Cheney Stadium. Left-hander Doug Davis will make his second rehab start with the Sidewinders against right-hander R.A. Dickey (2-4, 3.38) for Tacoma. First pitch is at 1:35. The game will air live on COOL 1450 beginning at 1:25.
