TODAY'S OPPONENT:

The Memphis Redbirds are the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. They have been a member of the Pacific Coast League since 1998. Last year, Memphis finished third in the PCL's American North Division with a 58-86 record.

TODAY'S GAME:

Game 11 of the season, and final game of four-game series with Memphis.

LAST GAME:

RedHawks took both games of doubleheader yesterday. Josh Rupe pitched six innings and the RedHawks won the first game 2-0. Victor Diaz knocked in both runs with a base hit in the fifth inning ... The second game went into extra innings and the RedHawks won with a walk-off home run from David Matranga in the bottom of the eighth inning. A.J. Murray retired the only hitter he faced in the top of the eighth to get the win.

VS. MEMPHIS:

Memphis took three of four from the RedHawks to start the season in Memphis. The RedHawks won the season opener 5-4. The RedHawks hit .195 with two home runs against Memphis in four games. The pitching staff has an ERA of 3.82 against Redbird hitters.

PITCHING MATCHUP:

John Koronka makes his third start of the season today. Koronka lost his last start April 10 at Nashville after giving up five runs in five innings. Koronka has allowed seven first inning runs this season. Memphis sends Mike Parisi to the mound.

STREAK BOMBED:

Matranga's homer ended a streak of 78 innings without a home run for the RedHawks. Before Matranga's walk-off bomb, the last home run was hit in the sixth inning at Memphis in the first game of the year ... Matranga's home run was also the first walk-off homer for the RedHawks since Drew Meyer hit one Aug. 18, 2006 vs. Memphis.

HEATING UP:

RedHawk hitters are starting to heat up. Freddy Guzman is 4-for-10 in this series, Matranga and Miguel Ojeda are both 3-for-7 and Marlon Byrd is 3-for-9.

PITCHING GEMS:

The two shutout victories yesterday were the first back-to-back shutouts for the RedHawks since Aug. 4 and 5, 2006 vs. Las Vagas (2-0, 5-0).

AUTOMATIC:

The RedHawks bullpen has been tough this season. In 25.2 IP this season, the only reliever to give up any runs is Doug Mathis, normally a starter. Mathis gave up four runs three earned in 2.2 innings of relief at Nashville last Thursday.

REDBIRDS SCORELESS STREAK:

Memphis hasn't scored a run against Oklahoma since the second inning of Saturday's game. The Redbirds have been held scoreless for 22 consecutive innings. They have only managed six hits in three games.

BRICKTOWN SHOWDOWN:

The Triple-A Championship Game will be played Sept. 18 at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. It will feature the champions of the PCL and IL.

DOT-DOT-DOT

: With runners in scoring postion, the RedHawks are hitting .143 (12-84). The RedHawks were 1-for-11 during the doubleheader ... RedHawks had at least one base runner on in 10 of 14 innings, including Matranga's homer yesterday ... RedHawks left 15 runners on base yesterday ... RedHawk pitchers have walked 14 Redbird hitters in series ... Four RedHawks have played in every game this season Diaz, Jason Botts, Nate Gold and Guzman.
