HEADLINES: RedHawks beat Redbirds, Mulder ... Knott makes RedHawk debut ... Arias goes deep
TODAY'S OPPONENT: The Memphis Redbirds are the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. They have been a member of the Pacific Coast League since 1998. Last year, Memphis finished third in the PCL's American North division with a 71-72 record.
TODAY'S GAME: The RedHawks complete their four-game homestand against Memphis. This is their 127th game, 63rd home game and 16th game against Memphis. The RedHawks are on a stretch where they will play 21 of 29 games at home.
LAST GAME: The RedHawks got to Memphis starter Mark Mulder early in a 5-2 win. Mulder went four innings and gave up five runs, four earned on seven hits with five walks and three strikeouts. He gave up a two-run home run to Joaquin Arias in the third. Arias went two-for-four with a homer and two RBIs. Jamie Burke had a two-run double in the first inning for the RedHawks. Kevin Walker earned the win, going three innings and giving up one unearned run on three hits with five strikeouts.
VS. MEMPHIS: The RedHawks are 78-66 all-time against Memphis and 45-25 against the Redbirds at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark. The RedHawks have won 13 of their last 15 at home against Memphis . The RedHawks have not lost a season series to the Redbirds since 2000 (2-0-3 since). The RedHawks are 4-1-3 in season series against the Redbirds.
PITCHING MATCHUP: Starting pitcher Eric Knott makes his RedHawk debut. He was signed as a free agent Aug. 17. Knott was 9-7 with a 3.48 ERA in 20 starts for Pericos de Puebla of the Mexican League this season. He was 201 with a 3.00 ERA (10 ER/30 IP) in his last five starts for them. Knott has played in the PCL in parts of five seasons with Tucson, Edmonton and Las Vegas. His last PCL action was in 2004 with Las Vegas. Dennis Tankersley starts for Memphis .
STARTERS: In the last 14 games, RedHawk starters are 8-2 with a 1.25 ERA (13 ER/93.1 IP), 26 walks and 95 strikeouts.

TEAM ERA: The RedHawks team ERA is 3.81 (466 ER/1099.2 IP). The lowest team ERA in club history was 4.21 in 2003. The 2003 team finished eighth in the PCL in ERA. This year's team is currently tied for second with Round Rock.
CLOSE GAMES: Fifty-five of Oklahoma 's 66 wins this season have come by four runs or less, including 28 one-run wins. Also, 45 of Oklahoma's 60 losses this season have come by four runs or less, including 17 by one run.
ONE-RUN WINS: The RedHawks lead the PCL in one-run wins with 28. Tucson is second with 24.
RADIO UPDATE: The flagship station for RedHawks baseball is KEBC 1340 AM. However, due to scheduling conflicts, RedHawks came can sometimes be heard on other stations. The RedHawks will be on AM 1000 KTOK Aug. 26 and Sept. 1. They will be on KFXY 1640 AM Aug. 20 and Sept. 3.
DOT-DOT-DOTS: The RedHawks are 55-37 since Mike Boulanger took over as manager May 11 ... P Robinson Tejeda has been named PCL pitcher of the week for Aug. 7-13. He was 2-0 with a 0.75 ERA (1 ER/12 IP) with four hits, five walks and 21 strikeouts in two starts during the week. He is the second RedHawk pitcher to receive the award this year (Edinson Volquez , June 5-11). It is the 16th time in club history a RedHawk has been named pitcher of the week ... The RedHawks have lost six of their last seven series openers.
