Oklahoma City Blue News Release
FORT WAYNE, Ind., Dec. 30, 2014 - The Oklahoma City Blue overcame an 18-point deficit to claim a 90-87 overtime win against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants on Tuesday.
Trailing 66-48 with three minutes to play in the third quarter, the Blue sprung back into the game with a 20-0 run, holding the Mad Ants to thirteen straight missed field goals in a seven and a half minute stretch. After OKC took an 80-75 lead with two minutes left in regulation, Fort Wayne tied the game with 3.7 seconds remaining to force overtime.
The Mad Ants took a two-point lead with just over a minute to play in OT, but good ball movement on the following possession led to a go-ahead three-pointer from Josh Huestis. The Blue's interior defense held Fort Wayne to two missed layups on the other end of the floor followed by a six-foot jumper by Richard Solomon to seal the Blue's third-straight win.
Mario Little was one of five Blue players to score in double figures with a team-high 18 points, including 15 in the second half, to go with seven rebounds and four assists. Semaj Christion added 17 points, four boards and four assists.
Richard Solomon tallied five points and seven rebounds in seven minutes during the fourth quarter en route to 14 points and 13 rebounds on the night. Reggie Williams also recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The game's first half featured six lead changes before the Mad Ants took a 40-32 lead into the break. Oklahoma City (7-8) grabbed 53 rebounds and shot 8-of-19 from three-point range.
Fort Wayne (8-10) was led by Andre Emmett with 23 points and eight boards.
