The Canton Charge (11-7), presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, defeated the Los Angeles D-Fenders (5-13), 115-87, in front of 3,155 at the Memorial Civic Center on Tuesday night. Canton never trailed in the game, leading by as many as 28 and by double digits for the final 26:20 of the contest.

The Charge started out hot on offense by working the ball around, assisting on nine field goals and going 12-of-22 as a team (55%) in the first quarter. Canton also worked the glass to limit Los Angeles' second chances, outrebounding the D-Fenders 15-5 and taking a 34-20 lead.

Canton continued to apply pressure in the second by pulling ahead by as many 19. The Charge shot a sizzling 55% from the field on 11-of-20 shooting in the second. Los Angeles cut it within single digits when down 54-38, they rolled off a 8-1 run over 2:21 to cut the deficit to 55-46. Canton responded on the next possession with a Michael Dunigan bucket to go up 11 again and never looked back.

The Charge finished the night dishing out 32 assists, a new franchise record, on 43-of-79 shooting (54%). Canton held Los Angeles to 87 points on 27-of-73 shooting (37%) and five assists. The D-Fenders came into tonight averaging 116.4 points per game, while the Charge boast the third-ranked scoring defense in the D-League, allowing just 97.5 points per game.

Antoine Agudio finished with 22 points on 6-of-7 three-point shooting, five assists and two steals in 31 minutes. Arinze Onuaku posted his ninth double-double in 12 games with 23 points on 10of-14 shooting, 13 boards and two blocks in 32 minutes. Dunigan netted 11 points with 15 rebounds, five assists and three blocks in 36 minutes. Brandon Paul added 11 points and nine rebounds in 24 minutes, while Stephen Holt rounded out the starting five with 15 points and four assists in 26 minutes.

Los Angeles was paced by Keith Appling's 24 points and three steals in 36 minutes. Roscoe Smith netted 14 points with eight rebounds and three steals in 41 minutes. Jabari Brown added 18 points and six rebounds in 44 minutes, while Vander Blue poured in 19 points with four boards and four assists in 43 minutes for the D-Fenders.

The Charge head out west to begin the new year for a pair of games against the Santa Cruz Warriors (Golden State Warriors affiliate), beginning on Friday, January 2nd at 10:30 p.m. Canton returns to the Civic Center on Saturday, January 10th at 7:00 p.m. for a matchup with the Westchester Knicks (New York Knicks affiliate)!
