Today's Game: After a two-day layoff, the Oklahoma City Dodgers open an eight-game road trip against the Las Vegas 51s at 9:05 p.m. Central time at Cashman Field. Tonight's matchup pits the top team in each of the PCL's two conferences against each other.
Last Game: The Dodgers had Wednesday off, and Tuesday's home game against Iowa was postponed due to rain...The Dodgers' four-game winning streak came to an end in a 3-2 loss to Iowa Monday in Bricktown. The I-Cubs broke a 2-2 tie in the seventh inning on a two-out RBI single by Arismendy Alcantara en route to winning their first game of the series. Oklahoma City threatened in the bottom of the ninth inning, putting the tying run at second base with one out, but Iowa's Blake Cooper (SV, 2) kept the Dodgers off the board. Iowa took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, first scoring on a double steal. Mike Baxter then hit a two-out RBI single to make it 2-0. The Dodgers cut Iowa's lead in half in the fifth. Darnell Sweeney singled on a ground ball to shortstop Javy Baez, and Baez ended up kicking the ball into left field, allowing Brian Burgamy to score. The Dodgers tied the game in the sixth inning when Chris Heisey hit his team-leading eighth home run. Iowa starting pitcher Donn Roach (5-0) held the Dodgers to two runs (one earned) and seven hits over 6.0 innings. Oklahoma City starting pitcher Zach Lee (4-3) was charged with the loss after allowing three runs and 11 hits over 6.2 innings.
Today's Probable Pitcher: Scott Baker (2-2) returns to the mound after a stellar start in New Orleans last Friday. Pitching on three days' rest, Baker tied a season high by tossing 7.0 scoreless innings and scattered three hits. He did not issue a walk and tied a season high with six K's. Overall he retired 21 of the 25 batters he faced...In five starts with OKC, Baker has allowed one or no runs four times. He's turned in two starts of 7.0 innings, while the rest of the team has combined for one...Baker has posted a 22/2 strikeout-to-walk ratio over 27.1 IP with OKC, and he's allowed just one walk over his last 24.1 IP ...Over his first three outings with OKC, Baker compiled a 1.06 ERA, 0.65 WHIP, and .169 opponent average and was named the organization's Dodger Pride "Strong Mind Pitcher of the Month" for April...The Los Angeles Dodgers selected his contract April 26 and he made two starts, going 0-1 with a 5.73 ERA (7 ER/11.0 IP). He was designated for assignment May 3, and outrighted back to OKC after clearing waivers May 5...He came one pitch away from a seven-inning perfect game April 20 in Iowa. He retired the first 20 batters before Addison Russell singled up the middle on a 0-2 pitch. Baker settled for a two-hit shutout in OKC's 8-0 win...Tonight is his first career meeting with the 51s.

Since, they have split two series and lost two series at Cashman Field...The 51s were the Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate for eight seasons, 2001-08.
Simply the Best: The Dodgers have the team's best record through 38 games since joining the PCL in 1998...Oklahoma City is one of nine teams in the Minors with at least 26 victories.
Streaking Sweeney: Darnell Sweeney is on a season-best nine-game hitting streak -- the longest streak by an OKC Dodger this season. The leadoff man is batting .368 (14x38) during the streak with five multi-hit games...Sweeney leads the team with 21 runs, ranks second with 36 hits, and is third with 16 RBI...Sweeney leads the league with 17 stolen bases this season and is 17-for-21 in stolen base attempts after going 15-for-31 last season with Double-A Chattanooga.
Little Big Seag: Corey Seager is on a seven-game hitting streak, going 12-for-31 (.387) with four multi-hit games. He is tied with Darnell Sweeney for the team lead in hits this month (19), while his 49 hits this season between OKC and Tulsa lead all Dodgers minor leaguers and rank 10th overall in the Minors.
O'Koyea's O'K: O'Koyea Dickson did not start Monday, but picked up a pinch-hit double in the 9th inning. He has hit safely in seven of his last eight games, going 12-for-29 (.414) with four multi-hit games and six runs scored. Since returning from the Disabled List May 4, Dickson has 17 hits over 14 games, with six multi-hit contests.
Buck Wild: Buck Britton has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games, including the last six straight to tie his season high. Over the 10-game stretch he is batting .333 (14x42). Britton leads the team with 39 hits and is tied with Kyle Jensen for the team lead in RBI (17).
Hammerin' Heisey: Chris Heisey connected on his team-leading eighth home run of the season Monday night, half of which have come over nine games against Iowa. Heisey is averaging one home run per 9.5 at-bats, which would be the best ratio in the PCL, but Heisey is 11 plate appearances shy of being able to officially qualify among league leaders.
Austin's Powers: Austin Barnes is 7-for-23 with five RBI during his current six-game hitting streak, tying his season best. Over his last 10 games he's picked up eight RBI and has struck out just once, totaling 43 plate appearances.
On Strike: Monday marked the fourth time this season the Dodgers pitching staff did not issue a walk, although it was the first occurrence since game one of a doubleheader in Iowa on April 20. OKC has allowed the fewest walks in the PCL this season (93).
2-for-1 Special: The Dodgers have turned at least one double play in eight straight games and have a total of 10 double plays over that stretch. Before the recent bump, the Dodgers had turned a league-low 17 double plays over their first 30 games.
West Coastin': Today marks the first of 16 consecutive games against Pacific Conference teams. Last season OKC went 20-12 against Pacific Conference foes, including a 9-7 record on the road out west.
