Today's Game: The Oklahoma City Dodgers close out their four-game road series against the Round Rock Express at 6:05 p.m. at Dell Diamond. The Dodgers have won back-to-back games for the first time since June 17 and seek a third straight road win for the first time this season. This is also the final time the Dodgers and Express will play each other in 2018.
Last Game: Kyle Garlick hit a go-ahead grand slam with two outs in the eighth inning, helping the Dodgers to a 7-5 win over Round Rock Saturday night at Dell Diamond. The Dodgers entered the eighth inning trailing, 4-3. The Dodgers had the bases empty with two outs before three straight reached to load the bases for Garlick, who hit the first pitch he saw to deep left field. Round Rock got a run back in the bottom of the inning when Tony Sanchez hit a solo homer, but OKC reliever Brian Schlitter recorded the final five outs to earn his 13th save, stranding the tying runs on base in both the eighth and ninth innings. The Dodgers trailed by as many as three runs, although they took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a RBI single by Edwin RÃ-os. With OKC still in front, 1-0, in the bottom of the third inning, Dodgers starting pitcher Manny Bañuelos and Round Rock's Scott Heineman got into an argument and eventually into a dustup, as Bañuelos and Heineman were ejected. Once play resumed, Willie Calhoun hit a two-run homer to put Round Rock in the lead, 2-1. The Express added two runs in the fourth, with RBI singles by Calhoun and Andy Ibanez. The Dodgers made it a one-run game in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly by Angelo Mora and a solo home run by Connor Joe.
