Today's Game: The Dodgers open a five-game series against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox at 7:05 p.m. at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. This marks the final series of the season between the teams. Oklahoma City is 4-1 during their current 10-game homestand.
Yesterday's Game: New Orleans avoided a series sweep with a 7-3 win against the Dodgers Tuesday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. Oklahoma City took the first lead of the game for the first time in the series, but the Zephyrs scored three runs in the fourth inning and led the rest of the way. Jose Peraza singled to lead off the bottom of the first, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Andy Wilkins for a 1-0 OKC lead. With two runners on base in the fourth inning, Jhonatan Solano hit a RBI single to score Juan Diaz, and a fielding error by Dodgers center fielder Scott Schebler on the play allowed Kila Ka'aihue to also score for a 2-1 lead. The Zephyrs added another run on a fielder's choice to make it 3-1. The Dodgers hit three straight singles in the bottom of the sixth and cut New Orleans' lead to 3-2 on a RBI single by Jose Tabata. In the seventh, Brady Shoemaker hit a broken bat, two-run single to right field for a 5-2 New Orleans lead. The Zephyrs added two runs with two outs in the top of the ninth. Kyle Jensen hit a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth to finish the scoring. New Orleans starting pitcher Justin Nicolino (7-7) got the win, allowing two runs and eight hits over 6.0 innings. Making his first start with OKC since early May, Mike Bolsinger (2-1) was charged with the loss, allowing three runs and six hits over three-plus innings before leaving the game with an apparent injury.
Today's Probable Pitcher: Carlos Frias (2-0) returns to OKC to continue his current rehab assignment...The Los Angeles Dodgers placed him on the 15-day Disabled List July 1 with tightness in his lower back. He began his rehab assignment with High-A Rancho Cucamonga in late July and made two starts, allowing four runs and seven hits over 4.2 innings with no walks and nine strikeouts...Overall with L.A. this season, he is 5-5 with a 4.39 ERA in 14 games (12 starts). He was recalled from OKC by L.A. April 26 and made his first MLB appearance of the season that night in San Diego. He last pitched for L.A. June 30 in Arizona, allowing three runs and seven hits over 5.0 innings in the Dodgers' 6-4 loss...Tonight marks his fourth appearance and third start of the season with OKC. He last pitched for OKC April 21 in Nashville, allowing two runs (one earned) and seven hits over 5.1 innings with seven strikeouts in a win...Tonight is his first career appearance against Colorado Springs.

The Dodgers have won three of the last four games against Colorado Springs and six of the last nine games between the teams...Six of the 11 games between the teams this season have been determined by just one run...Three of Colorado Springs' four wins have come when trailing after seven innings. OKC has not lost a game when leading after seven innings against any other team in the PCL this season...OKC won the most recent set, 3-2, in Colorado Springs July 8-12...Andy Wilkins is hitting .421 in 11 games against the Sky Sox this season, with a team-leading 16 hits and nine runs scored. He also has two home runs, three doubles and seven RBI in the season series...Oklahoma City won the 2014 season series, going 9-7 overall, including 6-2 at home...OKC has won eight of their last nine home games against the Sky Sox.
Peaks and Valleys: Following a stretch in which they lost nine of 11 games, the Dodgers have now won five of their last six games...Tuesday's loss ended a streak of five straight wins overall, as well as seven straight home wins...Omaha also lost Tuesday, so the Dodgers' first-place lead in the American Northern Division remains at 5.5 games. The Dodgers' largest division lead was 11 games entering play on July 4, but they have gone 14-16 since...The Dodgers pace the PCL with 67 wins this season and have the third-most wins in the Minors behind Double-A Corpus Christi and Low-A Quad Cities (70).
Yes Way, Jose: Jose Peraza is off to a great start since joining the OKC Dodgers, hitting safely in all five games while going 9-for-18 with three extra-base hits and four RBI. Peraza went 3-for-5 last night, marking his ninth overall game this season with least three hits, and he now has 38 multi-hit games over 101 contests between OKC and Gwinnett. His 124 combined hits are third overall in Triple-A this season.
Jensen's Jolt: Kyle Jensen has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games, going 15-for-31 (.484) with two home runs, three doubles, seven RBI, and four multi-hit games. His 15 hits since last Monday (July 27) are tied for second most in the PCL. After batting .203 between May and June, Jensen is batting .344 (31x90) since July 1.
Barney and Friends: Darwin Barney's stretch of 10 straight starts with a hit came to an end Tuesday night, going 0-for-5. Barney had also hit safely in 11 of his last 12 games overall prior to Tuesday. Over the 12-game stretch he went 18-for-43 (.419) with three RBI, seven runs scored, and two stolen bases. Since rejoining OKC on June 18, Barney is tied for fourth in the league in hits (52) and is fourth in batting average (.359).
The Backstop's Back: After spending the previous 17 games with the L.A. Dodgers while A.J. Ellis was on the DL, PCL All-Star catcher Austin Barnes returned to the club Tuesday, going 2-for-4 for his 17th multi-hit game of the season. Barnes leads the OKC Dodgers this season with both a .308 batting average and .387 on-base percentage.
RISPy Business: The Dodgers are hitting .393 (11x28) with runners in scoring position over the last three games and are hitting .339 (20x59) during the last six games. During four straight losses July 27-30, they hit .200 (6-for-30) with runners in scoring position.
Long Division: With Iowa's win over Colorado Springs last night, the Dodgers now reside in a division where three of the four teams have at least 60 wins. No other division in the PCL has more than one team with 60 victories...OKC hasn't quite won at the same clip during divisional games, going 21-17 overall, including 7-6 at home.
If You're First, You're Last?: In each of the Dodgers' last six games, the team that scored first ended up losing...In each of the Dodgers' last seven wins, the opponent scored first. Conversely, the Dodgers have lost each of the last five games they've scored first.
