Bees Host Knothole Clinic at Smith's Ballpark

SALT LAKE CITY (August 5, 2015) - The Salt Lake Bees will host their third and final Knothole Clinic for Knothole Club members on Friday, Aug. 7 at Smith's Ballpark beginning at 10 a.m. The two-hour clinic will feature Bees PCL All-Star catcher Jett Bandy, third baseman Kaleb Cowart, starting pitcher Adam Wilk and second baseman Alex Yarbrough instructing the participants in a variety of baseball drills. The youth will also have the opportunity for autographs and photos.

The first clinic was held on June 12 with former Bees and current Angels outfielder Daniel Robertson and pitcher Trevor Gott leading the clinic. The second clinic took place on July 18 with the help of seven Bees players, including Wilk and Yarbrough. The Knothole Club is part of the Bees organization's ongoing commitment to community outreach, health and wellness and youth development.

Children ages 12-and-under can still join the 2015 Knothole Club, sponsored by Cyprus Credit Union, Denny's and Savage Companies. Individual memberships, which costs only $12 per season and offer a host of benefits, may be purchased online at slbees.com or at Bees home games at Smith's Ballpark.

The Bees are in the midst of a homestand through Aug. 9. The Bees continue their series vs. the Las Vegas 51s on Aug. 7 with first pitch at 7:05 p.m. Gates open at 6:05 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at Smith's Ballpark box office, at all Smith'sTix outlets and Smith's Food & Drug Stores, by phone at 801-325-BEES (2337) or online at www.slbees.com, with no additional fees.
