Oilers Wish BOK Center Happy Birthday

While preparing for their 18th season in the Central Hockey League, the Tulsa Oilers are also helping the BOK Center celebrate its first birthday on Saturday.

Fans will be able to visit the Oilers booth at the BOK Center between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. they can visit with Oilers head coach Bruce Ramsay, player assistant coach Tyler Butler, as well as meet other Oiler players Jake Riddle, Mike Beausoleil and Alec Kirshner.

"We'll have our schedules there and our prize wheel that fans can get great gifts from some of our partners," general manager Taylor Hall said. "It was a phenomenal first year for the BOK Center and great one for the Oilers in the building as well. This will give us a great chance to celebrate that and let fans talk to Bruce about this season."

There will be live music, concession specials, and tours of the BOK Center also available. There is no admission for the BOK open house and those who arrive before 1 p.m. will also receive free admission to the Rock N Rib festival, taking place on Third Street in front of the BOK Center.

The Oilers start the CHL regular season on Friday October 16th at Mississippi. The home opener for the Oilers in their 18th CHL season will be Saturday October 24th at 7:35 against the Wichita Thunder.
