
IceRays Add Two More Rookies

Corpus Christi IceRays News Release
IceRays General Manager/Senior VP, Pat Dunn announces today the signing of two rookies from Division I colleges. Michigan Tech's forward Justin St-Louis and University of Minnesota defenseman Jay Cascalenda. The IceRays are currently in preparation for the 2009-2010 season. St-Louis spent the last four seasons at Michigan Tech where he totaled 11 goals, 11 assists and 106 games. The Calgary Alberta native also played 2 seasons with the Trail Smoke Eaters of the BCHL where he scored 60 goals and 57 assists in 118 games.
"Don't get fooled by his stats. The scouting report on Justin is that he is a big body that can skate" said General Manager Pat Dunn.
Jay Cascalenda played the last 4 season at University of Minnesota where he compiled 1 goal and 9 assists in 127 games. Jay is more of a stay at home defenseman, that comes out of one of the best skating programs in the country.
Corpus Christi IceRays hockey returns for a brand new season on October 17th as they will host the Bossier Shreveport Mudbugs in their home opener at 7:05 pm at the American Bank Center.
