
Oilers Sign Running Back with Size

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa Oilers Football, proud member of the IFL, announce the addition at the running back position of Jo-El Shaw.
Shaw, formally signed in the IFL with the Spokane Shock and continues his pro career with Tulsa. The new Oilers running back played his college football at Kent State. The former Golden Flash was namedto Athlon's preseason All-MAC Third Teamand to Phil Steele's preseason All-MAC Third Team his senior season and recorded 977 rushing yards for 4.6 yards per carry on average in his Kent State career, with 11 all-purpose touchdowns to his name.
Prior to his Kent State stint, the 6'1, 225 lbs. back started his collegiate play at Lackawanna Community College in Scranton, Pennsylvania, piling up 1,449 yards on the ground with an average of 5.8 yards per carry and 18 touchdowns in 19 games.
The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native will join Joshua Robinson at the running back position, who is currently still on "Short Term Injured Reserve." Shaw is expected to wear jersey number four.
Tulsa's next home game will be Saturday, April 29,against the Arizona Rattlers. Kickoff is set for 7:05 p.m.
