Oilers Sign Four

A top goal scorer leads the latest group of player signings announced by Tulsa Oilers head coach Bruce Ramsay for the upcoming Central Hockey League season.

Ramsay said the Oilers have signed center Matt Robertson, left wing Tyler Czuba, forward Gary Steffes and defenseman Brennan Barker.

Robertson, 5-foot-9, 160 pounds, had 19 goals for the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the International Hockey League last season. In 2006-07 he led Western Hockey League rookies in goals with 37 while playing for the Prince Albert Raiders.

Steffes 6-foot-1, 185 pounds comes to the Oilers after a successful four year collegiate career at Miami University (Ohio) helping the RedHawks to last year's CCHA title and a trip to the NCAA Frozen Four.

Czuba, 5-foot-11, 190 pounds capped a successful three year run at Wisconsin River-Falls, with 39 points on 19 goals and 20 assists in just 29 games last season.

Barker, the latest defenseman signing announced by the Oilers, is a solid 5-foot-11, 203 pound defenseman who helped lead Alabama-Huntsville to the CHA championship last season.

The Oilers had the second highest point total increase in the CHL last season under head coach Bruce Ramsay, who was in his first season with the Oilers. They will have 33 home games at the BOK Center in the 2010-11 season, starting on Friday October 15th against the Wichita Thunder Season tickets for 2010-11 with plans for as low as $26 a month are now available by calling the Oilers office at 918-632-PUCK (7825).
