Oilers Set to open Training Camp

With all the excitement surrounding the Tulsa Oilers first Central Hockey League season in the BOK Center coach Dan Hodge has said he couldn't wait to get started with training camp. He won't have to wait much longer.
Hodge expects to welcome 30 players to camp this weekend. Players will report for physicals Sunday and have their first on ice session Monday morning.
"This has been a tremendous off season with all of our activities," Hodge said. "Our players who have been here have seen a great buzz about the team, and they've shared that with the other players coming in.
"All of our on ice training camp practice sessions are free and open to the public. I hope everyone who has the chance to come out, does. I think they'll be impressed," Hodge said.
The Oilers will hit the ice at the Oilers Ice Center (64^th and Mingo) Monday October 6^th at 8:30 a.m. They will have on ice sessions Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., all free and open to the public. On Friday October 10th, practice will begin at 1:30 p.m.
On Thursday October 9^th , the Oilers will host an exhibition game against Oklahoma City at the Oilers Ice Center. Cost for season ticket holders who purchase tickets in advance is $10. Non season ticket holder tickets are $15. Tickets for everyone at the door the night of the game, will be $15. That will be one of three preseason games for the Oilers. They will play at Wichita on Wednesday October 8^th at 7 p.m. and play at Oklahoma City on Saturday October 11^th at 7 p.m.
The Oilers will play their first home game in the BOK Center, on Saturday October 25^th , against the arch rival Oklahoma City Blazers. Season tickets for the Oilers 2008-09 season in the new BOK Center are available by calling the Oilers at (918) 632-PUCK (7825).
