Broomfield, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Rage have re-signed Captain Brent Cullaton, who returns for his second season with the club as a player/assistant coach. The Rage now have 18 players under contract as they prepare to open training camp for the 2008-09 Central Hockey League season on Oct. 6.

Last season Cullaton racked up a career-high 92 points to pace the Rage, ranking him fourth in scoring across the entire CHL. His 71 assists made him the league's second most prolific play-maker.

And despite a CHL resume that includes two President's Cup Championships and three All-Star nods, Cullaton also garnered a spot on the All-CHL Team for the first time in his career and was named a finalist for league MVP.

The 6-foot-0, 230 lb. right winger has recorded 728 points (264g-464a) throughout his first 12 years as a pro, notching both his 400th career assist and 700th career point last year in a Rocky Mountain sweater. He captained a side at the CHL All-Star Game for the third time in his career last season and was named Northern Conference All-Star MVP following the league's showcase event, which was held at Broomfield Event Center.

Cullaton spent the off-season working as a teaching pro at Coal Creek Golf Course and fulfilling his player/assistant duties with the Rage, which included helping Head Coach and General Manager Tracy Egeland recruit players and making community appearances for the team. Originally from Petawawa, Ontario, outside of Ottawa, he now lives with in Superior, Colo., with his wife, Ashley, and daughter, Peyton.

Rage single-game tickets are now on sale for the team's pre-season tilt on Oct. 10 against the Rapid City Rush and all 32 regular season home games at Broomfield Event Center, including the home opener on Oct. 22 against the Colorado Eagles.
