
Oilers Recall Josh Green; Barons Recall Milan Kytnar

Oklahoma City - The Edmonton Oilers recalled forward Josh Green from the Oklahoma City Barons, Oilers General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today. In a separate transaction, the Barons recalled forward Milan Kytnar from the Stockton Thunder.
Green, a 6-3, 215-pounder from Camrose, Alberta is being recalled by the Oilers for the second time this season. In his first call up last week he played in three games. With Oklahoma City this season, he has played in 19 games, recording 17 points (7-10-17).
Originally a 2nd round draft choice (30th overall) by the Los Angeles Kings in the 1996 NHL Entry Draft, Green has appeared in 337 NHL games, recording 74 points (35-39-74). Green's career includes a previous stint with the Oilers from 2000-2003 where he played 81 games, recording 17 points (10G, 7A).
The Barons recalled Kytnar from the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL. Kytnar is fresh off his first NHL game with the Oilers. He played with the Oilers last night in their 2-1 overtime loss to New Jersey. Originally a 5th round draft choice (127th overall) of Edmonton in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Kytnar played 78 games with Oklahoma City last season, recording 29 points (13-16-29) and serving 35 penalty minutes.
The Barons skate in three games this weekend, all at home. Friday, they take on the Rockford IceHogs at 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, the Barons battle their division rival the Abbotsford Heat. Faceoff Saturday is 7 p.m. Faceoff Sunday is 4 p.m. All three games will be played at the Cox Convention Center.
Saturday is Team Poster Night. The first 2,000 fans through the doors will receive a team poster. Following the game Sunday, fans are invited to skate with the team following the game.
