Checkers Lose Joslin, Recall Murray

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte Checkers head coach and general manager Jeff Daniels announced today that defenseman Derek Joslin has been recalled to the Carolina Hurricanes and defenseman Chris Murray has been recalled from the Florida Everblades.

Murray, 27, returns for his second stint this season in Charlotte, where he has one goal and one assist in 10 AHL games. The Dover, Mass. native ranks second among Everblades defensemen with 12 points (3g, 9a), despite playing in just 18 games.

Joslin, 24, recorded three assists in four games with the Checkers after being assigned by the Hurricanes on a conditioning loan on Jan. 4.
