Oilers Open House Party at the new BOK Center

Tulsa Oiler fans who haven't yet had the chance to see the BOK Center will get that opportunity on Saturday September 27th from 1-4 p.m.

"This will be quite a bit different from the BOK ribbon cutting (held on August 30th )," Oilers' general manager Taylor Hall said. "This will be exclusively an Oilers' event.

Hall stresses Saturday's open house will emphasize seat selection, which wasn't available on August 30th . Fans will have the chance to sit in seats and be able to tell which seats are still available for the Oilers upcoming Central Hockey League season.

"We'll have every seat indicated as to whether it's already sold as a season ticket seat, or whether it's still available. In addition, that day, we are offering our current season ticket holders, the chance to purchase additional season tickets at half price." Hall said.

In addition to the BOK Center set up in a full hockey layout for the first time, fans will be able to enjoy a floor hockey game at 2:30 featuring area media personalities, enjoy the antics of the fire education clowns (complete with face painting), Jupiter jumps, be able to tour the Oilers lockerroom, and meet coach Dan Hodge, and several Oiler players. Admission to the open house is free. BOK Center concession stands will be open with food available for purchase.

The Oilers will play their first home game in the BOK Center, on Saturday October 25th , against the arch rival Oklahoma City Blazers. Season tickets for the Oilers 2008-09 season in the new BOK Center are available by calling the Oilers at (918) 632-PUCK (7825).

If you haven't had the chance to get inside the BOK Center yet, then be sure to mark Saturday September 27th on your calendar. The Oilers are giving you a free pass inside their new home from 1-4 p.m.

That day will be all Oilers at the BOK Center, and you will have a special opportunity to view what seats are still available for season ticket purchases. And current season ticket holders will also have special offers available to them. Although the ice won't be in, the floor at the BOK Center will be set up with the hockey boards, and the video board will be showing Oiler highlights and previewing some of the special features of the BOK Center.

Along with selecting seats there will be plenty of entertainment as well. The open house will feature Jupiter jumps, clowns, the Oilers slapshot booth and more. In addition, there will be a floor hockey game at 2:30 featuring members from various media outlets. You'll want to be on hand to cheer on your favorites!

In addition, you'll truly have the chance to go behind the scenes and tour the Oilers locker room. Visit with coach Dan Hodge and some of the Oilers players. This is a chance to see what happens in the Oilers inner sanctum. While there have been events at the BOK Center, this is a chance to see how it is set up for hockey, while enjoying a great day out with your family. The Open House on Saturday September 27th will have free admission to the party. The BOK concession stands will be open for you to purchase food while checking out what the BOK Center will look like for the Oilers.
