Fan Fest 2008 Info You Need To Know

(Southaven, MS) - Another exciting season of Mississippi RiverKings' hockey will be kicked off with the team's annual Fan Fest, set for the DeSoto Civic Center on Saturday, October 11th, prior to the RiverKings' exhibition game against the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs. Activities will include a ice skating opportunity for season ticket holders, fans and corporate sponsors, and a tailgate party, all followed by the game, which starts at 7:05 PM.

Season ticket holders, fans and sponsors will be able to skate on the DeSoto Civic Center ice from 2-4 PM that afternoon. The tailgate party will follow in the parking lot from 4-6 PM, hosted by "The Kings' Court" Booster Club.

Music will be provided by the group "Altered Egos." Flutterby the Clown and Magic Mr. Nick will be on hand to entertain the young and "young at heart" and the Horn Lake Fire Safety Trailer will be there for public view.

A number of corporate partners of the RiverKings are planning to have tables in the concourse of the DeSoto Civic Center and they invite fans to come out and visit with them while they're enjoying Fan Fest.

Admission to cover Fan Fest will be just $5.00 each, which will cover skating, food and refreshments, while supplies last. Sponsors for this year's event are Lewis Bakery/Bunny Bread, Boar's Head Meats, Miller Lite and Coca Cola.

Game tickets for each exhibition game on Friday, October 10th and Saturday, October 11th will be $15.00 for lower bowl seats, and $10.00 for upper bowl level locations each night. Admission for season ticket holders to the exhibition games is included in their ticket packages.

Following Fan Fest and the exhibition weekend, the RiverKings will begin their run for the Ray Miron President's Cup Friday, October 17th at the DeSoto Civic Center against the Wichita Thunder. Get tickets now for the RiverKings' 17th season in the Mid-South by calling 662-342-1755.
