Oilers Football Signs Former ACC Defensive Lineman

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa Oilers Football, proud member of the IFL, announced Wednesday the signing of defensive lineman Allen Edwards.
Edwards (28) comes with a high-caliber resume, playing for the University of Pittsburgh and professionally for the former IFL franchise, the Louisville Xtreme.
The Miami, Florida native played three games with the Xtreme in 2021, totaling 11 tackles for Louisville.
Prior to his professional life, the 6'3, 240 lbs. lineman played his college ball in the American Athletic Conference with Pittsburgh, collecting 26 tackles in 21 games over two seasons, with three being tackles for loss for a collective -18 yards.
"Allen is fast off the edge," said head coach Marvin Jones. "He is a player with length and speed who had an opportunity with the San Francisco 49ers and will be the type of player we need here in Tulsa."
The former Pitt Panther began his collegiate career with Dean (Mass.) College, where he finished his final season with the Bulldogs, recording 13.5 tackles for loss and earning first-team All-Northeast Football Conference.
With this announcement, the Oilers announced roster now includes James Summers(QB), Deonte Cruse(OL/DL), Maliek Stephens(RB), Christopher Ivy(OL), Eric Sadler(DL), Jeremiah Harris(WR), William Auwae(OL), Tre Harvey(LB), Jamon Langford(WR), Kazon Edwards(LB), Tre King(RB), Bobby Froehlich (QB), Ja'Davien Williams(DL), Joshua Robinson(RB), Tyler Jones(WR), Myles Tease(WR), Caleb Wells(DL), Kevin Moore(DB), Kelvin Jenkins(DB), Gibson Ziah(DL), Stanley Dye(DL), Connor Flagel(DL), Patrick Barrett(OL), Kameron Prewitt(DB/WR), Ronald Salters(DB), and Allen Edwards(DL).
Additional players, Oilers Football owns IFL rights to include Larry Williams(OL, Las Vegas Vipers XFL).
The Oilers will begin their inaugural season in 2023.
