The Quad City Steamwheelers, defending Champions of the IFL's Eastern Conference, have signed defensive back Rishad Goode.

In 2019 at the University of West Georgia, Goode finished the season with 15 tackles (14 solo) and an interception.

Director of Player Personnel and Defensive Assistant Coach Ryan Michael told SteamwheelersFootball.com: "Rishad has the physical traits you look for in the indoor game. He's quick, he doesn't shy away from contact, he has great leaping ability and he's a threat in the open field after picking off quarterbacks. I'm excited to see what he brings to camp and what he can do in Coach Ross' system."

The signing further bolsters a very talented secondary, with the Steamwheelers having also signed defensive backs Darreon Jackson, Malik Duncan, Tajik Bagley, Michael Johnson, Albert Green IV, Tyree Bostick, Roosevelt Lawrence, Joseph Freeland and Tarik Pusey.

In 2013 at Troy, Goode played Division-I football, notching 22 total tackles (13 solo).

"Rashad exemplifies what it means to be a team player. While reviewing his film it was easy to see his passion for the game and skills in action. I look forward to seeing what he brings to camp!" said Steamwheelers Head Coach Cory Ross.
