You Again?: No, it's not yet the playoffs, but it may seem like it for the Oilers and Oklahoma City Blazers who are facing each other for the third time in six nights.
Records: Oilers are 11-10-4 with 26 points in fourth place in the Northeast Division. Oklahoma City is 15-7-3 with 33 points in second place in the Northwest Division.
Recent Action: The Oilers suffered their second straight loss last night, losing in Amarillo, 7-5. Oklahoma City hasn't played since beating the Oilers 4-2 on Tuesday night.
Season Series: This is the fifth of 11 games between these two teams. The two teams have split the first four games.
Play Nice Boys: Tuesday night's game saw the two teams combine for 152 penalty minutes. The Oilers drew 98 penalty minutes Tuesday night, both are season highs for Tulsa.
The Stars Out Tonight: Two Oilers have been added to the Northern Conference roster for the CHL all-star game in Bossier-Shreveport January 17th. Defenseman Matt Medley and right winger Mike Wiggins were added to the Northern Roster. Oklahoma City will be represented in the game by defenseman Mike Burgoyne (voted as a starter) and center Garrett Prosofsky.
Tied At The Top: Right winger Mike Wiggins and left winger David Masse of the Oilers are tied for the league goal scoring lead, each with 19.
Bad Boys Back: Graham Dearle of Oklahoma City, and Spencer Carbery of the Oilers have both served one game league suspensions and are expected to be in the line up tonight.
Next Up: The Oilers are scheduled for a New Years Eve contest tomorrow in Wichita against the Thunder at 5:05 p.m. That game can be heard on KRVT AM 1270 and via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com The Blazers are slated to host the Rocky Mountain Rage tomorrow night at 7:35.
