
Oilers Acquire Mike Looby

The Tulsa Oilers have traded left winger Lance Herauf to the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees in exchange for defenseman Mike Looby.
Looby, 6-foot, 192 pounds had two goals and three assists for five points in 10 games with Rio Grande Valley this season. He had 12 penalty minutes and an even plus-minus rating. He was a member of the 2006 Laredo Bucks Ray Miron President's Cup championship team.
"Mike's a very hard working steady defenseman that we desperately need," Oiler coach Butch Kaebel said. "He'll be a big plus for our team."
Herauf, acquired in the off season from New Mexico, had two goals and one assist for three points in 10 games with the Oilers this season. He had two penalty minutes and was -6.
The Oilers play at Oklahoma City Sunday at 6:05 p.m. in a game that can be heard on KRVT AM 1270. Their next home game is Friday November 23rd against the Rocky Mountain Rage at 7:35 p.m. For ticket information call 877-TULSACC (885-7222).
