Edmonton Oil Kings News Release
The Edmonton Oil Kings have traded forward Raphael Pelletier to the Swift Current Broncos, the Club announced on Thursday.
In exchange, the Oil Kings will receive a 4th round pick (EDM) in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft, originally obtained by the Broncos in the Andrew Fyten deal.
The 17-year-old Legal, AB native was selected by the Oil Kings in the 3rd round, 48th overall in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft. He dressed in five games in his underage season in 2017-18 and was a member of Northern Alberta Xtreme during the 2018-19 campaign, tallying nine goals and 17 assists in 19 games along with 24 penalty minutes.
"This move will give Raphael an excellent opportunity to continue to grow and develop as a member of the Broncos," said Oil Kings President of Hockey Operations and General Manager, Kirt Hill.
"We wish Raphael nothing but the best in his future hockey endeavors."
