
Oil Kings D Vojtech Port Invited to Czechia's World Junior Selection Camp

(Edmonton, AB) - Edmonton Oil Kings defenceman Vojtech Port has been invited to Czechia's selection camp ahead of the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship.
Port, 18, is in his second season with the Oil Kings and has appeared in 26 games tallying 12 points (3G, 9A) and 13 penalty minutes.
The Jihlava, Czechia product was acquired by the Oil Kings early in the 2022-23 season after being claimed off CHL Import Waivers from the Red Deer Rebels.
After putting up 17 points (4G, 13A) in 48 games last year, he was drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the sixth round, 161st overall, at the 2023 NHL Draft in Nashville.
The 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship begins December 26 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The Edmonton Oil Kings next home game is this Saturday, December 15 at 7:00 P.M. when they host the Swift Current Broncos.
