Calgary, AB - Michael St. Croix had four points (3g 1a) leading the Edmonton Oil Kings to a 5-2 win over the Calgary Hitmen Wednesday night at Scotiabank Saddledome.
Alex Roach, with his first goal in the Western Hockey League, and Kris Foucault with his 10th goal of the season scored for the Hitmen.
Calgary will now get set for a huge charity weekend.
On Friday (December 10) the Hitmen host the Regina Pats in the 3rd annual City TV / Kraft Shake Up the 'Dome. Game time is 7:00 p.m. with fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item for donation to the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank.
In addition, fans entering the building will receive a box of Kraft Dinner to be used as a noise maker and asked to donate it back to the food bank after the game.
Then on Sunday (December 12) the Hitmen will host the Red Deer Rebels in the 16th annual Petro-Canada Teddy Bear Toss.
Game time is 5:00 p.m. with great seats still available. Doors open Sunday at 3:30 pm.
Fans are asked to bring a small or medium sized stuffed toy to the game and toss it on the ice when the Hitmen score their first goal.
This year over 23,000 Teddy Bears have been requested by over 50 local charities including; Salvation Army, Calgary Womens Emergency Shelter, Boys and Girls Club of Airdrie and the Alberta Children's Hospital.
Teddy Bears will also be available for purchase at the game for $10 through the Rainbow Society.
