Oil Kings Claim F Kian Bell off Waivers

(Edmonton, AB) - The Edmonton Oil Kings have claimed 2003-born forward Kian Bell off waivers from the QMJHL, the Club announced today.

Bell, 20, is a Fall River, Nova Scotia product and spent last season playing for the SJHL's Battlefords North Stars where he was named the league's most valuable player after putting up league best 54 goals and 102 points in just 51 games. He would also lead the SJHL playoffs in goals (16) and points (25) helping the North Stars win the SJHL Championship.

Prior to last season, the 5-foot-10, 170-pound forward played parts of two seasons in the QMJHL with the Cape Breton Eagles, registering 16 points (9G, 7A) in 64 games.
