Sarnia Sting News Release
SARNIA, ON - The 2015-16 OHL Season officially begins this weekend at the Sarnia Sports & Entertainment Centre. The Sting play host to the Erie Otters on Friday night at 7:05 PM and the Kingston Frontenacs on Sunday afternoon at 2:05 PM.
After a disappointing round one exit against the Otters in the 2015 playoffs, the Sting kick off the 2015-16 campaign against the team who ousted them just a few short months ago. With the addition of Derian Hatcher and Jeff Barratt behind the bench, and the OHL's youngest team in 2014-15 coming back one year older and one year more experienced, the Sting look to turn a corner in 2015-16.
The Sting were 4-2-0-0 in preseason action, including 4 straight wins to close out their exhibition schedule. Sophomore forward, Anthony Salinitri led the way for Sarnia, registering 6 goals, including four in his last two games.
