BELOIT, WI - The Great Lakes Loons established new franchise records for runs (18) and hits (25) en route to a convincing 18-6 win over the Beloit Snappers in the first game of a three-game set from Pohlman Field.

Three different Loons players - Tony Delmonico, Travis Vetters and Parker Dalton - recorded four hits in the game.

Dalton drove in five in the contest. Both he and Vetters notched two doubles each. Dee Gordon finished a double shy of the cycle. Austin Gallagher reached base six times on three hits and three walks.

Every Loons' offensive starter reached base. Only Esteban Lopez was held hitless, and he drove in two runs on two sacrifice flies and was hit by a pitch.

After a scoreless first inning, the Loons sent 10 men to the plate in the second, scoring seven times. The inning included home runs by Gordon, his first of the year, and Kyle Russell, his fourth. The Loons added three more in the third.

Beloit cut the Loons' lead to four with a four-run third, but never got closer, with Great Lakes tacking on three in the sixth, four in the seventh and one in the eighth.

JonMichael Redding (3-1) started and recorded the win. Robert Boothe and Jordan Pratt combined for four perfect innings of relief. At one point, the relief duo struck out seven Snapper batters consecutively. Redding, Boothe and Pratt combined to retire the last 17 Beloit batters.

The Loons continue their three-game series against the Snappers Sunday afternoon. Game time is 3pm ET. The game will be carried live on ESPN 100.9-FM.

Right-hander Ethan Martin (3-0, 1.35) will start for the Loons opposite right-hander Bobby Lanigan (2-0, 3.68).

The Great Lakes Loons are the third-year Single-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers and members of the Midwest League. For more information about the Loons, visit Loons.com or call 989-837-BALL.
