Rockford IceHogs News Release

Milwaukee, Wis.-Another close road game, but another road loss for the Rockford IceHogs. The IceHogs fell to the Milwaukee Admirals 2-1 on Friday night in the front end of a home-and-home series at the Bradley Center.

Rockford hopped on the board with game's only first period goal. Corey Crawford picked up a Milwaukee dump in a fed winger Rob Klinkhammer in the neutral zone. Klinkhammer then snuck behind the Milwaukee defenseman and banked his third goal of the season in past Mark Dekanich at 13:36.

In the second period Milwaukee tied it at 1-1 with a power play goal. Winger Mark Santorelli slapped his second goal of the season through traffic and past Crawford at 6:19. Robert Dietrich and Ben Eaves assisted the goal.

Milwaukee added a second marker to take a 2-1 lead in the middle frame. Cal O'Reilly dumped a puck behind the Rockford goal and with Crawford out to play it, Dietrich cut him off and fed the puck to a wide open Andreas Thuresson who buried his third goal of the season at 15:01.

Rockford couldn't solve Dekanich in the third and failed to tie the score. The IceHogs have now dropped five straight road games (0-4-0-1).

Crawford finished the night with 33 saves but it wasn't enough as Dekanich turned away 29 Rockford shots in the win.
